BBC4 brings Conscious Frontiers speaker and intrepid vicar Peter Owen-Jones back to the TV screens for ‘South Downs: England’s Mountain’s Green’ on Tuesday 21st February (9pm), taking us into the heart of the UK’s newest national park – the South Downs.
Following the South Downs Way along the spine of the park, from the famous Seven Sisters Cliffs to Winchester – the ancient capital of England – Peter experiences an extraordinary year exploring the park’s stunning landscapes, rich history, wildlife and people. What emerges is a portrait of one of Britain’s most iconic landscapes, described by William Blake as ‘England’s mountains green’.
